Even Bobby Fischer would tip his hat to this one. The pieces have a great weight to them, with wide bases that give a solid feel. I prefer the plain boxwood for its natural vibe; the antiqued styles just don't do it for me. The ebony is polished to perfection, with no flaws in sight. Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase and would suggest this set to anyone on the hunt for a Dubrovnik chess set. Plus, the company is super helpful with customer service, and they handled my special requests like pros.

In my view, these chess pieces are top-notch reproductions. The knight is absolutely gorgeous and couldn't be more dapper. Even Fischer himself would be impressed! The mahogany finish looks great and pairs nicely with a brown or walnut chess board. I’m a big fan of the wide and sturdy bases of this set; they add a nice weight to the pieces. One suggestion though: it would be awesome if you could offer an unweighted version of this set, just like the original. I bet you'd attract a good number of buyers!

I purchased a fancy chess set made of ebony and boxwood. One of the white bishops looked noticeably different in shade compared to the other bishop and the rest of the white pieces. I quickly reached out to customer support, sending them photos, detailing the problem, and requesting a replacement for the bishop. Unfortunately, I was met with silence. Not a single word back.

I ordered a stunning marble chess board along with Lacquered Staunton chess pieces, and let me tell you, I was thrilled. The chess board is quite hefty, which makes sense since it’s made of real stone. The chess pieces are beautifully Lacquered and have lovely designs. There was a minor hiccup with the delivery, but the customer support team sorted it out quickly. I get that delivery issues can pop up now and then, as some folks might have mentioned, but what really matters to me is how a supplier handles those situations. I’d give them a solid 4.5 out of 5.
